      Use the correct posture

If possible, adjust the working height to your height!

Get into a stepping position when lifting light loads. Keep your upper body straight, for example when picking up a shovel.

Distribute weights evenly on both sides. Use two buckets rather than one.

How to lift heavy objects correctly

    1. Stand as close as possible to the box.
    2. Place your legs wide apart.
    3. Move your bum slightly backwards when you squat down.
    4. Keep your back straight.
    5. Make sure that your knees do not go over the tips of your toes.
    6. Hold the box close to your body.
    7. Lift heavy objects slowly and carefully.

    Ensure balance at work

The work strains your muscles. Loosen up your muscles with small exercises while you work. This will prevent back pain.
