Personal protective equipment (PPE)

At work, you should not get hurt or sick. That is why there is protective clothing. This clothing is called personal protective equipment (PPE). Your employer must give you the PPE you need for your work. Important: You do not have to pay for it. Your employer must not take money from your pay for PPE. Your employer must also explain when and how to wear the PPE. This explanation is called training or instruction.

Working with plant protection products

Plant protection products can make you sick. Only trained people are allowed to work with them.
If you are not trained, you must not use plant protection products.

Every product must have a safety data sheet. This sheet tells you which protective clothing you must wear.
Your supervisor or employer must explain the dangers and give you the protective equipment.
