In Germany
Health insurance for seasonal workers

If you work in Germany for more than 90 days, your employer must register you with the German social security system.
Health insurance up to 90 days
If you work in Germany for less than 91 days in a year and the work is not your main occupation, this is short-term employment.
If you are covered by social security in your home country while working in Germany, you will need an A1 certificate as proof. With this certificate, you are covered by health insurance for the first 90 days in Germany
Without an A1 certificate, you are only insured against accidents at work, but not against illness. Make sure that you have valid health insurance in Germany (e.g. the European Health Insurance Card, EHIC). Do you have any questions? Then please speak to your boss.
Insurance for more than 90 working days in Germany
If you work in Germany for more than 90 days, your employer must register you for German social security.
