Protection against infectious diseases.

What you should bear in mind regarding protection against infection

When you are doing seasonal work, you will be working closely with other people. This can increase your risk of catching COVID-19 or other illnesses. The strict rules due to the coronavirus are now being relaxed. However, hygiene and safety are still important. This is how you can reduce your risk of infection in large groups or shared accommodation. By being careful, you are helping yourself and your colleagues.

This is how you can help with hygiene when it comes to protecting against infection.

  • Wash your hands often

Use soap and water. Wash them for at least 20 seconds.

  • Disinfect your hands

Use hand sanitiser, especially if you work with food or touch surfaces that many people handle.

  • Do not touch your face

Do not touch your eyes or nose. This is how you can stop the spread of germs.

  • Coughing and sneezing

Cough and sneeze into a handkerchief or the crook of your arm.

This is what you can do if you have symptoms

Tell your foreman or your boss. If you feel that you are getting sick, go to the doctor. Follow his advice. When you are sick, stay at home. That way you won't infect your colleagues. Take care of your health! Go to the doctor before it gets worse.

Keep your accommodation clean to avoid infection

If you live with several people, make sure you keep your accommodation clean and air it regularly.

Hygiene at the workplace

Proper hand hygiene is important. It is also the best protection against infection with infectious diseases in everyday life. This is because pathogens can easily enter the body via the hands, which often come into contact with the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth or with open wounds. Regular and thorough hand washing interrupts this transmission route.
